Bohol Trip
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Bohol, it is located in Visayas near Cebu. The famous white sand beaches in Panglao Island,(there are a lot of white sand beaches in bohol that is not commercialize) Chocolate Hills, Loboc River, oldest church and many others are the famous landmark in our province. We have also a version of Sinulog which is known as Sandugo Festival which is held also every January.
The beaches of Bohol is truly a paradise. A natural wonder with powdery white sand and shallow clear waters. It is a solemn and peaceful place. Where you can unite with nature.
I always love this place because its so laid back. With friendly people, very good food, nice scenery and of course for the simplicity of life people are showing here. But, mind you even if this place is simple its not that left behind. There are also cable channels, internet shops, wi-fi spot, a tiny yet posh mall with a huge parking lot. Everything is so accessible here.
From Manila the flight to Tagbilaran(city proper) takes 1 hour and 45 minutes only. Either by Cebu Pacific or Air Philippines. I'm not sure if Asian Spirit still operates there. But there's no harm in inquiring 'ayt? You can also travel by a ferry. Either by negros navigation, super ferry - this two is direct to Tagbilaran port, or sulpicio lines via cebu port. Don't worry taxi's and hotel services are available in Bohol.
So there. I will post my pics soon so watch out..
My travel advisory tip: DON'T FORGET TO
1. Bring bikini's of course (LOL)
2. sunblock
3. Mosquito repellant or anti-mosquito lotion
4. digi cam/video cam
5. loose bills
6.preferably a globe sim because some area don't have a smart/sun signal
7.comfy clothes and slippers.

Pinay Sex Scandal
What I am trying to say here is sex should be kept between the two of you and not for the world to see. Please also take into consideration the girls feelings because more often than not it is their faces and naked body that is spread like wildfire on every mobile phones and the only share you got was a shot of your d*ick and your hands and nothing than that. If you are man enough why don't you show your faces so that the humiliation later on will be even! Think about that!
***I'm sorry people if this post is not what you expect to see or to read. I am just disgusted with what I saw in the internet lately!

Sinulog sa Sugbu
With radiant faces all over people from all corners of the world go gaga over this festivities. It is the most awaited feast every January. With a colorful costumes all over, and participants dance gracefully to the rhythm. Everyone was fascinated by enchanting floats, towering higantes, and comical puppeteers. The sea of people don't mind the hot weather and all because everyone is having fun. There are also some bazaar and souvenir shops that lined across the street that sells wide array of deli products. But people go there not only to party but to celebrate and to give thanks to Señor Sto Niño. Not minding the hundreds of people that flock the area, the excruciating heat, the stinky sweat, and the noise because thats what makes this event so great.
So what are waiting for? Don't just sit there, read and gaze all the pictures. Get your bags ready and join in the Cebu crowd, be a part of this feast, groove your body to the beat of Sinulog, and together we will shout Viva Pit Señor.

Fixed Marriage anyone?
Well, the silly idea began when Manang, our neighborhood bakery owner talked to my mom that she want me to be her daughter in law. WTF! really in my thoughts i wanna scream WTF! His only son who is a few years older is single also, has no gf and is not dating anyone. So that gave her a thought that we are on the same boat. What a crappy idea! I am not desperate to settle down and have kids. What's holding me was myself. I haven't achieved anything in life. I haven't reached my dreams. I haven't shown everyone my optimum potential. Damn! I just can't settle with someone if me myself isn't settled with myself.
For me marriage is not a joke and its tougher and involves really hard work and a strong mind and a tough heart. I just can't settle down because I have to. It should be because I want to and I'm in love. That's it. Since I am on the quest for my life maybe I'll meet my prince along the way through my journey! I wish!

My Puerto Galera Trip
This was our trip last June 2007 with my dear friends who are also nurses like me.. It was my first time in this beautiful Island I was amazed because it was near and accessible and a very near get away outside the metro manila. We actually took the trip after our licensure retake exam.. The place is very lovely, with white sand beach, and activities such as beach volleyball, snorkeling, banana boat ride, flying tsenes, a stroll to the jungle, water fall adventure and swimming of course. Our accommodation has airconditioned rooms, toilet and bath, mini kitchen, and a veranda. Believe it or not each of us spent only 2000php each ($50) including the roundtrip bus and ferry plus 5nights accommodation, plus food and water. Who says you need a tons of money to get somewhere? Whew! A very good stress buster indeed, to travel with friends!

Manila Ocean Park (Philippines)
Plus... Plus... Having a wide array of the activities to choose from like shopping (it has a mall) Dining (they have a lot of posh restaurants). Or just stroll in their bay area wing where you can inhale fresh air with the remarkable view of Manila Bay. And many more activities for the children and child at heart. I'm sure I'll be frequenting this place soon. It's my new form of relaxation from my so so stressful life. I'm sure many people will go there once it will open its doors to the general public. After all its the coolest place to be. The hottest thing about is its just around the corner. And in we don't have to travel internationally or to subic just to see something like this.
By the way the much awaited opening of the park will be this Feb. 15, 2008. See you there!

alone on Valentine's Day
Hmmn.. You might wonder what on earth I am doing at home? Where I could have gone somewhere and discovery new things in life. I've got plenty of reasons why I am home. Don't you worry I am not pregnant nor nursing a baby. LOL! I just stayed home because there is no place to go to but home.
Anyhow, if you yourself is alone on that day you can ask me out on dinner, just don't forget the flowers and the chocolates. LOL!

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez II
As we all remember last 2004 ruled out by a draw. It was very controvercial during that time.
Here are the scores:
Judge John Stewart had it 115-110 for Pacquiao,
judge Burt Clements had it 113-113
and judge Guy Jutras had it 115-110 for Marquez.
The Associated Press had it 113-113.
And now our most awaited rematch is here. The 2nd battle of the two living legends will be held this coming March 15,2008 at the Mandalay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.. I hope Manny will won this fight. I am a great fan of him. He put so much heart, dedication and hard work on his career. It really shows on him the zest to win.
GO MANNY!

Appletoe
When me and my cousin visited Hongkong last November 2007 we came across this sidewalk food vendor near Mongkok Station. My cousin bought this salad that is according to her is yummy since she frequented Hongkong tons of times. I was apprehensive to buy because this salad costs 10.00 HKD (70.00php) and that to me is already expensive for some sidewalk vendor. Anyways, i tried it knowing the walkaton that we have to endure later on for our shopping. I just bought it so my stomach has something to digest while we discover and venture Hongkong. And truly it was so delicious you cannot actually distinguish what's inside because of its white coating that looks like sour cream or whip cream. I've figured the recipe according to the taste of it and I will share this to you and for sure you now have a clue of what it is made of? :D
I've made a version of this during the holidays. And i call this:
Apple toe Salad:
6 apples cored and peeled and cut into cubes
4 boiled potato peeled and cut into cubes
3 eggs sliced
1 kiwi fruit sliced
2 strawberry sliced
1 1/2 pack mayonaise lite (I use this because I can't afford sour cream nor whip cream)
salt to taste
mix the apples, potato, eggs and mayo then garnish with kiwi and strawberry. Chill before serving. This is good for 4-5 persons.
Bon appetit! Ü

Attitude is everything!
ATTITUDE isn't simply a state of mind...it is also a reflection of what we value.
Attitude is more than just saying "I can", it is BELIEVING you can.
It requires believing before seeing, because seeing is based on circumstances; believing is based on faith.
Attitude is so contagious, especially when we allow it to turn our doubts of the past into passions of today and set the stage for our tomorrows.
We have total ownership of our attitude. No one else has the power to alter our attitudes without our permission.
Our attitude allows us to become more empowering than money, to rise above our failures, and accept others for who they are and what they say. It is more important than giftedness, and is the forerunner of all skills needed for happiness and success.
Our attitudes can be used to build us up or put us down -- THE CHOICE IS OURS.
It also gives us the wisdom to know that we cannot change events of the past.
I AM CONVINCED THAT LIFE IS 10% WHAT HAPPENS TO ME, AND 90% HOW I RESPOND TO IT...
And it is with this state of mind that I REMAIN IN CHARGE OF MY ATTITUDE.

WORDS WOMEN USE
:: FINE ::
This is the word women use to end an argument
when they feel they are right and you need to shut
up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman
looks - this will cause you to have one of those
arguments.
:: FIVE MINUTES ::
This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five
minutes that your football game is going to last
before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade.
:: NOTHING ::
This means "something," and you should be on
your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe
the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you
inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing"
usually signifies an argument that will last "Five
Minutes" and end with 'Fine.'
:: GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows) ::
This is a dare. One that will result in a woman
getting upset over Nothing and will end with the
word "Fine."
:: GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows) ::
This means "I give up" or "do what you want
because I don't care." You will get a "Raised
Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed
by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in
about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.
:: LOUD SIGH ::
This is not actually a word, but is a onverbal
statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud
Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that
moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time
standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing."
:: SOFT SIGH ::
Again, not a word, but a nonverbal statement. "Soft
Sighs" mean that she is content. Your best bet is
to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.
:: THAT'S OKAY ::
This is one of the most dangerous statements that
a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay"
means that she wants to think long and hard
before paying you back for whatever it is that you
have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the
word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised
Eyebrow".
:: GO AHEAD ::
At some point in the near future, you are going to
be in some mighty big trouble.
:: PLEASE DO ::
This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is
giving you the chance to come up with whatever
excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is
that you have done. You have a fair chance with
the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get
a "That's Okay."
:: THANKS ::
A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say
you're welcome.
:: THANKS A LOT ::
This is much different from "Thanks." A woman will
say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off
at you. It signifies that you have offended her in
some callous way, and will be followed by
the "Loud Sigh." Be careful not to ask what is
wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell
you "Nothing".
ME!
It's not so easy loving me
It gets so complicated
All the things you've gotta be
Everything's changin
But you're the truth
I'm amazed by all your patience
Everything I put you through
When I'm about to fall
Somehow you're always waitin
with your open arms to catch me
You're gonna save me from myself
from myself, yes
You're gonna save me from myself
My love is tainted by your touch
Cuz some guys have shown me aces
But you've got that royal flush
I know it's crazy everyday
Well tomorrow may be shaky
But you never turn away
Don't ask me why I'm cryin
Cuz when I start to crumble
You know how to keep me smilin
You always save me from myself
from myself, myself
You're gonna save me from myself
I know it's hard, it's hard
But you've broken all my walls
You've been my strength, so strong
And don't ask me why I love you
It's obvious your tenderness
Is what I need to make me
a better woman to myself
to myself, myself
You're gonna save me from myself!

Detaching yourself from the experience
Don't cling to things, because everything is impermanent... Detachment doesn't mean you don't let experience penetrate you. On the contrary, you let it penetrate you fully. That's how you are able to leave it. If you hold back on the emotions- if you don't allow yourself to go all the way through them- you can never get to being detached, you're too busy being afraid. You're afraid of the pain, you're afraid of the grief. You are afraid of the vulnerability that loving entails. But by throwing yourself into these emotions, by allowing yourself to dive in, all the way, over your head even, you experience them fully and completely. You know what pain is. You know what love is. You know what grief is. And only then you can say, "All right. I have experienced that emotion. I recognize that emotion. Now i need to detach from that emotion for a moment." Once you recognize the feel of those emotions, their texture, their moisture, the shiver down the back, the quick flash of heat that crosses your brain- then you will be able to say, "Okay. this is fear. Step away from it. Step away." I thought about how often this was needed in everyday life. How we feel lonely, sometimes to the point of tears, but we don't let those tears come because we are not supposed to cry--we suppress our emotions. Or how we feel a surge of love for a partner but we don't say anything because we're frozen with the fear of what those words might do to the relationship. Turn on the faucet, wash yourself with the emotion. it won't hurt you. It will only help. If you let the fear inside, if you pull it on like a familiar shirt, then you can say to yourself, " all right, it's just fear, I don't have to let it control me. I see it for what it is". Same for loneliness: you let go, let the tears flow, feel it completely- but eventually be able to say, "All right, that was my moment with loneliness. I'm not afraid of feeling lonely, but now i'm going to put that loneliness aside and know that there are other emotions in the world and I'm going to experience them as well. Detach....

Moving Thoughts
When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.
It's true that we don't know what we've got till we lose it, it is also true that we don't know what we are missing until it arrives.
Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the ONE that makes your heart smile.
Always put yourself in other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.
The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.
I hope this will helps you with your daily life and problem. Someone like you deserves better of things.
what hurts the most is your being ignorant to the reason of his/her behavior because he/she didnt had the heart to tell you frankly and you were left wondering what was the reason of that behavior.

The Ride
Welcome to the first day of the new year. I admit to being snuggled in my bed, deep under the covers when the clock chimed. I got out of bed, wished everyone a happy new year, then opened the door and stuck my nose out to make sure Old Year left and to let New Year in. He brings with him possibilities and in the next twelve months we shall see what Life, Love and I do with those possibilities. It's always a team effort. We don't always go in the same direction thru out the year, but at midnight on Jan 1, we always reach the same place. A new beginning.
Want to come along?
Happy New Year
I would like to take some time and reflect on the past year... it has been a year of change, and I predict a another year of change and growth, however, I have no time to reflect at the moment. I have some friends coming in from out of town, and I must go and dust and vacuum, yippee!
So until then, you can tell me about your past year... the good, the bad, and the ugly... funny how time flies. Time does that... it waits for no man or woman, so I must scurry along.
