Funny and free E-cards
Rattlebox - Rattlebox is really very good. They have great designs, the interface is nicely designed and the themes themselves are actually decent. You can can change all or some of the text to customize the card, and embed video cards on social networking sites, blogs, etc.
Hipster cards - another witty, well designed e-card site that you would actually want to use. Please note there are some off color options so we're going to note it as - NSFW.
Someecards - their tag line is "when you care enough to hit send." These cards are pen and ink and have funny one liners.
MushyGushy - card site where you can upload you head shot into different animated themes (think JibJab) customize, and send.
Smilebox - site where you choose from various multimedia designs and personalize with photos, video, music, words, and style and share via email, blog, or print.
delivr - send a personalized postcard from photos from your Flickr account or select from the 3 million or so Dlivr offers using the Flickr API to pull back the most interesting photos with an appropriate creative commons license.
meish.org - for the anti-valentine crowd. If you hate satin bears and VD makes you want to hurl, these non-sentimental e-cards will fit the bill for you. Oh and are they funny.
That's the extent of our list but not for lack of trying. We specifically avoided the usual suspects, like American Greetings, and any site with animated gifs. If you have a favorite site you'd like to throw in the mix, please send it in.

Yahoo multi messenger 8.x and 9.x
This application will allow you to run multiple instances of Yahoo Messenger on your pc! Perfect for those who have several different yahoo id's and would like to be logged in to them at once. Please note that the Y!Multi Messenger versions coincide with the Yahoo Messenger versions and are build specific. Meaning you must be using the same version of each to work properly.
This is intended for the newest build of messenger and may not work properly on lower builds.
Just run the install and then start using the Y!Multi Messenger icon that will appear on your desktop instead of the regular Yahoo! Messenger icon.
How to use it:
Just double click the desktop icon to load up X amount of Yahoo! Messengers, thats it!
Note - you may have to uncheck the "Automatically Sign In" option on the login screens though or you will start getting the "You have been logged out as you were logged in on a different machine" message.
You can run the registry editing script to do this for you if you are not sure what to uncheck, go ahead...open it in an editor first if you want, its 100% safe and will not mess anything up.
Requirements: Newest version of Yahoo! Messenger installed.

Browser Tweaks and Tricks: How to speed up Firefox?
Search for the following entries and make the listed changes to them below.Use the entire entry up to the equal's sign. If an entry does not exist by default which several of them do not then you will need to create them. To do this right click below the filter window and choose new -->integer or new -->boolean. To know which one you need to choose it goes like this. Choose integer if the value you are going to add is a number and choose boolean if the value you are adding is "true" or "false" statement.
- network.http.pipelining=true
- network.http.proxy.pipelining=true
- network.http.pipelining.maxrequests=8
- content.notify.backoffcount=5
- plugin.expose_full_path=true
- ui.submenuDelay=0
- content.interrupt.parsing=true
- content.max.tokenizing.time=2250000
- content.notify.interval=750000
- content.notify.ontimer=true
- content.switch.threshold=750000
- nglayout.initialpaint.delay=0
- network.http.max-connections=48
- network.http.max-connections-per-server=16
- network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy=16
- network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server=8
- browser.cache.memory.capacity=65536
Firefox is allocated 4096 KB of memory by default and in this configuration we give it roughly 65MB as denoted by the last line. This can be changed according to what is used.
While there are some extensions and improvements that have been made with Firefox since some of these tweaks were first posted on the net I have found that they really do speed up Firefox noticeably

Colored Search Browser
Blackle - the black google. If Google had a black screen, taking in account the
huge number of page views, according to calculations,
750 mega watts/hour per year would be saved."
In response Google created a black version of its
search engine, called Blackle, with the exact same
functions as the white version, but obviously with
lower energy consumption.

Browser Tweaks and Tricks: How to speed up Opera?
Increasing total connections
- Type about:config in the address bar
- Enter connections into the search field
- Change the value of Max Connections Total from 20 to any value between 32 to 65
- Do not change the Max Connections per Server
- After you are done with the above just save the settings and restart browser
Name completion and local network machine
- Go to Tools> Preferences> Advanced> Network(or click Control and F12 same time)
- Select Server name completion
- Now you have two options within it.
"Look For local network machine"
"Try name completion" - If you uncheck both of the above options, i.e.; Try name completion and Look for local network machine, Opera will stop cycling your CPU, trying to guess what you’re typing in the address bar
- Restart the browser after applying the settings. You’ll see the speed difference
Reduce the amount of visited pages in history
- Go to Tools> Preferences> Advanced> History (or click Control and F12 same time)
- Reduce addresses to 100 instead of 500 by default
Opera loading
- Go to Tools> Preferences> Advanced> Browsing> (or click Control and F12 same time)
- In the loading window choose "Redraw Instantly"
Tooltips
- Go to Tools> Preferences> Advanced> (or click Control and F12 same time)
- Uncheck "Tooltips"

Free Wi-Fi hot spots in Manila
What is a Wi-fi?
Theres no such thing as free nowadays- wifi in coffeeshops like starbucks, seattles best, ucc, or in any hot spots are not for free- u have to purchase a card in order to connect- you can connect to the network but in order to access the internet, you have to open a browser and type the username and password written on the wifi card- its Php 100 for an hour.
To configure wifi on laptops- if your laptop has an internal wireless card,u can just open it up and it will automatically search for a wireless network- the only way u can connect to wireless networks for free is if your neighbor/company has a router that does not have a WEP key.
To access free wifi, either you must have a wifi-ready laptop, or a laptop with a wifi usb dongle or a laptop with a pcmcia wifi card. then you're ready to go. either way, your laptop will automatically detect the networks available or you have to search for it, manually.
no need to configure since it's a matter of choosing the network and connecting to it.
once you're in the area where wifi signal can be seen, surf away.
There are a lot of wifi free areas. it's just a matter of location. if you're the type of person who frequents the famous coffee shops, you really have to pay -- either its an airborne access or a globewiz. good thing blast prepaid card through airborne access offers wifi for 100 an hour -- quite expensive though.
