Great and sumptous meal fo diabetics

Diabetes is a condition in which a person has high blood sugar, either because the body does not produce enough insulin, or because cells do not respond to the insulin that is produced. This high blood sugar produces the classical symptoms of frequent urination, increased thirst and increased hunger.

Having diabetes is a tough daily expensive battle, you have to be careful on what you’re eating or drinking, this is the disease in which every calorie you ate are counted. I remember when my grandma was still alive she suffered a Type 1 Diabetes and she has a personal nurse visit her everyday in the house to have her insulin injected daily. The nurse also prepares her food and drinks. And I remember she refused her food or she often complained about the taste of the food. You know why? Because it’s not appetizing at all , its tasteless it’s so bland and it was measured. She is so stubborn that you’ll find her sneaking in the refrigerator looking for a decent meal or a fruit. We don’t know back then that there are restaurants, food shops and food recipes that offer great taste meal for diabetics. There was a feature on Oprah Magazine before about a sugarless brownie that is made for diabetics. I mean diabetics don’t have to starve themselves to death so they can live longer life. There are wide array of options and food recipes that is perfectly suited for them. I even found in one shop in Manila the sugarless chocolates. And there is this restaurant in Greenbelt that offers a menu exclusively for diabetes. So in this day and age having diabetes is supposedly not having yourself deprived of the foods you love to eat and enjoy with your whole family. Its how you prepare the food and what is in the food to make it all appetizing and tasty that it will not do your body any harm. Due to help of science and media diabetes awareness is at large. There are a lot of food guides and recipe in the books and in the internet that is made perfectly for diabetics.

So you people having diabetes don’t fret you can now have a great meal without compromising the taste of the food. Just what Wolfgang Puck always says LIVE LOVE AND EAT!

How to put text watermarks over a photo

hi everyone. since I have some payout proof to show off I researched about how to put a text watermark over them so people will not use it for their own benefits or post it on their site or whatever. Watermarks is like putting a copyright in your photos to claim the ownership of the ones you posted in the internet. But too bad I don't have an adobe photoshop application. I would love to try this coz it sounds so easy hopefully I will install adobe photoshop later.

so here's how.
Placing a watermark on images that you plan to post on the Web will identify them as your own work and discourage people from copying them or claiming them as their own. Here's a simple way to add a watermark in Photoshop where the text remains editable.

  1. Open an image.
  2. Select the type tool and type the copyright symbol or any other text you want to use for a watermark.
  3. While you're still in the type tool dialog, click the color swatch, and set the color to 50% gray. (Use HSB values 0-0-50 or RGB values 128-128-128; both will produce the same result).
  4. Click OK to exit the type tool.
  5. Resize and position your text as desired.
  6. Photoshop 5.5: Right click (Mac users control-click) on the type layer in the layer palette and choose Effects.
  7. Photoshop 6 and 7: Double click on a blank area of the type layer in the layer palette (not the thumbnail or the layer name) to bring up the layer styles dialog.
  8. Apply the Bevel and Emboss effect and adjust the setting until it's to your liking.
  9. In the layers palette, change the blend mode for the type layer to Hard Light.
Tips:
  1. If you'd like the watermark a little more visible, try a color value of 60% gray for the type (HSB value 0-0-60).
  2. Resize the type at any time by pressing Ctrl-T (Windows) or Command-T (Mac). Hold the shift key and drag a corner handle. When you apply the transformation, the type will resize with no loss in quality.
  3. You are not restricted to using only text for this effect. Try importing a logo or symbol to use as a watermark.
  4. The Windows keyboard shortcut for the copyright (©) symbol is Alt+0169 (use the numeric keypad to type the numbers). The Mac shortcut is Option-G.
  5. If you use the same watermark often, save it to a file that can be dropped into an image any time you need it. Remember, it's always editable!
so now you know how put it in your photos or payment proof so no one will steal it from you.

Lady Gaga to pose in the famous Playboy Mag

I've heard rumors from the internet that the Techno pop/glam diva will have a stint in the famous Playboy Magazine. Lady Gaga who made a name for herself and is a widely known phenomenon that emerge in the music industry is now the icon of so many people. She has this distinct taste in wardrobe, style and music. She is the typical eccentric and loud type of person and who is not scared whatever people will tell against her. But she is wise enough to choose the type of music and the type of fashion she wears everyday because everybody is oggling about what will be her next attire in her next guesting or her shows. All eyes are on her. And she don't look like she is trying hard enough on her looks. She look so natural and she carried the outfit because she has this cocktail martini body that everyone is so envious. She really has the right to be in that Playboy magazine. And I bet it will be sold out at the first day of release. And Hugh Hefner will be so d*mn happy. She can wear anything she wants from the hot pants to sexy tops to nothing at all. She has a record breaking all sold out concert as a beginner musician. By the way in case you don't know she writes her own lyrics. She even composed a music for the famous sexy vixen group "The Pussycat Dolls" she is very talented. And she is truly unique and distinct individual. She practiced the whole new meaning of INDIVIDUALITY within.

Now tell me who isn't so gaga about Lady Gaga??

Defeat Oxidative Stress

Oxidative stress is caused by certain imbalance between the production of certain oxygen types in our body and our body's system to detoxify or easily repair the damage. Our body produces enzymes to recuperate for the damage that oxidative stress is causing. The disturbance of our bodys state are causing toxic effects and is very harmful in our body this is because of the production of chemical component like free radicals and peroxide which causes cell damage and eventually cell death. Everyday in our lives we faced stress either at work or at home. As we all know stress is the major factors that caused diseases such as heart attack, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, alzheimers, parkinsons, chronic fatigue syndrome, cancer and the like. It is also known to have a great impact on our body's aging process. Stress triggers certain factors in our well being that makes us vulnerable to sickness and depression. Its unhealthy and we have to deal with it fast before its too late. Our own body has its own ability to produce our own anti-oxidants through the help of our own genetic make up and is influenced by our exposure to environmental stress such as diet and smoking. Changes in our lifestyle which include more environmental polluntion and less quality in our diet means we are exposed to more free radicals more than before. But our body's natural production of anti-oxidant is not enough to defeat stress and is not enough to neutralize free radicals. You can help your body to defend itself by increasing your dietary intake of anti-oxidant. Thankfully, Oxis advancing stress technology are helping people to get cure fast by developing Ergothioneine the super anti-oxidant, which is derived from glutathione element which helps us boost our immune system and neutralizes the free radicals and is known to slow down aging process and mop up the free radicals that harms our cells. The anti-oxidant are believe to help the body protect from free radical damage. They counteract oxidative stress by producing an armour of anti-oxidants to defend itself.

Let's try to live longer stress free by modifying our diet, our lifestyle and with the help of food supplements that makes us strong and healthy all life long.

What is stealth loggers?

stealth logger are applications that runs in the background of your computer that tracks application usage, keystroke (things you type in the keyboard) and such. Some people use this as security measures, to check if someone is trying to access their computers while they are away. Some though who have malicious intent use this to capture data of others, like user id, password, credit card info and such. Such applications can be found around the net.

Free Wi-Fi hot spots in Manila

What is a Wi-fi?

It is a wireless technology brand owned by the Wi-Fi Alliance, promotes standards with the aim of improving the interoperability of wireless local area network products based on the IEEE 802.11 standards. Common applications for Wi-Fi include internet and VoIP phone access, gaming and network connecttivity for consumer such as tv, DVD players and digital cameras.

Theres no such thing as free nowadays- wifi in coffeeshops like starbucks, seattles best, ucc, or in any hot spots are not for free- u have to purchase a card in order to connect- you can connect to the network but in order to access the internet, you have to open a browser and type the username and password written on the wifi card- its Php 100 for an hour.

To configure wifi on laptops- if your laptop has an internal wireless card,u can just open it up and it will automatically search for a wireless network- the only way u can connect to wireless networks for free is if your neighbor/company has a router that does not have a WEP key.

To access free wifi, either you must have a wifi-ready laptop, or a laptop with a wifi usb dongle or a laptop with a pcmcia wifi card. then you're ready to go. either way, your laptop will automatically detect the networks available or you have to search for it, manually.

no need to configure since it's a matter of choosing the network and connecting to it.

once you're in the area where wifi signal can be seen, surf away.

There are a lot of wifi free areas. it's just a matter of location. if you're the type of person who frequents the famous coffee shops, you really have to pay -- either its an airborne access or a globewiz. good thing blast prepaid card through airborne access offers wifi for 100 an hour -- quite expensive though.

Online Casino

When I was 18 me and my friends decided to check out the casino scene of Holiday Inn in Malate. We brought our school i.d.’s so we can get in. There we played the slot machine, Bacarat and Poker. Since we are just small time gamblers many of the people there got a truckload of chips and they are very cool if they win or loose. Maybe it was their past time that’s why they really don’t mind it. Then I’ve been also to Venetian Hotel and Casino in Macau, all I can say is WOW! It was like a mini Las Vegas scene there. There are a lot of people from any walks of life mostly foreigners who are playing there. The casino itself is jam-packed even though there are a lot of Hotel and Casinos nearby. And since people are so internet savvy nowadays they don’t have to go and visit every casinos in town all they have to do is get connected to the internet and they can play a wide array of online casino games such as online poker, slot machines, roulettes and many more. That’s what you called convenience in the comfort of your home. And do you want to find out which casino has a lot of freebies, bonuses and privileges to offer to its casino online gamers? Here’s a website that talk about the best online casino. It’s called Pro360. It’s an online casino reviews. Where you can have fuzz free readings about certain online casinos that you want to visit. They are reviewing since 1997 and they’ve got a list of best online casino as well.

So you can now have fun online and be more excited every time you turn on your computer.

How do you handle stress/pressure?

A typical interview question, asked to get a sense of how you handle on-the-job stress, is "How do you handle pressure?" Examples of good responses include:

  • Stress is very important to me. With stress, I do the best possible job. The appropriate way to deal with stress is to make sure I have the correct balance between good stress and bad stress. I need good stress to stay motivated and productive.
  • I react to situations, rather than to stress. That way, the situation is handled and doesn't become stressful.
  • I actually work better under pressure and I've found that I enjoy working in a challenging environment.
  • From a personal perspective, I manage stress by visiting the gym every evening. It's a great stress reducer.
  • Prioritizing my responsibilities so I have a clear idea of what needs to be done when, has helped me effectively manage pressure on the job.
  • If the people I am managing are contributing to my stress level, I discuss options for better handling difficult situations with them.

It's a good idea to give examples of how you have handled stress to your interviewer. That way, they get a clear picture how well you can work in stressful situations.

Leap year

Today is a leap year. Nothing special though. It just happens every 4years. Yeah we all know that. That's for sure. Well, Happy B-day to those who were born to this day. Your b-day occurs every 4 years so I guess your very much younger than most of us. That's a plus! Now the question is when will you celebrate your b-day? Should it be on the 28th of February or March 1? Or do you celebrate it every 4years? Maybe you'll get a lot of present if you celebrate it every 4years because your godparents will owe you 4 years worth of birthday presents. Cool!
Anyhow, no matter when or how you celebrate it its non of my business. Right? ahehehe!

Monique Lhuillier on Project Runway

This morning I saw Monique Lhuillier as a guest judge on Project Runways season4. She really pulls it off.. She looks glamorous and sophisticated along with Heidi Klum and other guest judge. By the way to those who don't know her she is one of the hottest designer in Hollywood today. One of the pinays who conquer tinsel town to stardom.

You go girl!

Proudly Pinoy

Yesterday, I came across with a blog site through entrecard. The blogger really describes the Philippines not only as the Text Capital of the World but as the Blog Capital of the World as well. Which is true for that matter. In fact there are a lot of good Filipino bloggers worldwide who are earning recognition through their blogs. By the way the blogs name is "For Singapore's Entrepreneur Only." Funny as it may seem that a Singaporean take pride into acknowledging and citing us pinoys to his blog. It is really cool and rare to my eyes. The praises that he wrote to his blog is really heartwarming and genuine. Imagine getting a good feedback from a foreigner this days is really a BIG THING. It's a reflection, a mirror that reflects everywhere. I hope there will be many people who will reciprocate this kind.

And truly we are very much proud to be PINOYS!

Thank you Mr. Boss and hats off to you!

Appletoe

When me and my cousin visited Hongkong last November 2007 we came across this sidewalk food vendor near Mongkok Station. My cousin bought this salad that is according to her is yummy since she frequented Hongkong tons of times. I was apprehensive to buy because this salad costs 10.00 HKD (70.00php) and that to me is already expensive for some sidewalk vendor. Anyways, i tried it knowing the walkaton that we have to endure later on for our shopping. I just bought it so my stomach has something to digest while we discover and venture Hongkong. And truly it was so delicious you cannot actually distinguish what's inside because of its white coating that looks like sour cream or whip cream. I've figured the recipe according to the taste of it and I will share this to you and for sure you now have a clue of what it is made of? :D

I've made a version of this during the holidays. And i call this:

Apple toe Salad:
6 apples cored and peeled and cut into cubes
4 boiled potato peeled and cut into cubes
3 eggs sliced
1 kiwi fruit sliced
2 strawberry sliced
1 1/2 pack mayonaise lite (I use this because I can't afford sour cream nor whip cream)
salt to taste

mix the apples, potato, eggs and mayo then garnish with kiwi and strawberry. Chill before serving. This is good for 4-5 persons.

Bon appetit! Ü

    WORDS WOMEN USE

    :: FINE ::
    This is the word women use to end an argument
    when they feel they are right and you need to shut
    up. Never use "fine" to describe how a woman
    looks - this will cause you to have one of those
    arguments.

    :: FIVE MINUTES ::
    This is half an hour. It is equivalent to the five
    minutes that your football game is going to last
    before you take out the trash, so it's an even trade.

    :: NOTHING ::
    This means "something," and you should be on
    your toes. "Nothing" is usually used to describe
    the feeling a woman has of wanting to turn you
    inside out, upside down, and backwards. "Nothing"
    usually signifies an argument that will last "Five
    Minutes" and end with 'Fine.'

    :: GO AHEAD (With Raised Eyebrows) ::
    This is a dare. One that will result in a woman
    getting upset over Nothing and will end with the
    word "Fine."

    :: GO AHEAD (Normal Eyebrows) ::
    This means "I give up" or "do what you want
    because I don't care." You will get a "Raised
    Eyebrow Go Ahead" in just a few minutes, followed
    by "Nothing" and "Fine" and she will talk to you in
    about "Five Minutes" when she cools off.

    :: LOUD SIGH ::
    This is not actually a word, but is a onverbal
    statement often misunderstood by men. A "Loud
    Sigh" means she thinks you are an idiot at that
    moment, and wonders why she is wasting her time
    standing here and arguing with you over "Nothing."

    :: SOFT SIGH ::
    Again, not a word, but a nonverbal statement. "Soft
    Sighs" mean that she is content. Your best bet is
    to not move or breathe, and she will stay content.

    :: THAT'S OKAY ::
    This is one of the most dangerous statements that
    a woman can make to a man. "That's Okay"
    means that she wants to think long and hard
    before paying you back for whatever it is that you
    have done. "That's Okay" is often used with the
    word "Fine" and in conjunction with a "Raised
    Eyebrow".

    :: GO AHEAD ::
    At some point in the near future, you are going to
    be in some mighty big trouble.

    :: PLEASE DO ::
    This is not a statement, it is an offer. A woman is
    giving you the chance to come up with whatever
    excuse or reason you have for doing whatever it is
    that you have done. You have a fair chance with
    the truth, so be careful and you shouldn't get
    a "That's Okay."

    :: THANKS ::
    A woman is thanking you. Do not faint. Just say
    you're welcome.

    :: THANKS A LOT ::
    This is much different from "Thanks." A woman will
    say, "Thanks A Lot" when she is really ticked off
    at you. It signifies that you have offended her in
    some callous way, and will be followed by
    the "Loud Sigh." Be careful not to ask what is
    wrong after the "Loud Sigh," as she will only tell
    you "Nothing".
