Home remedies for Bleeding and swollen gums

Bleeding and swollen gums do not occur over night; in fact, they are typically caused by gingivitis, a condition that, when left untreated, leads to periodontal disease. Though there are many causes the most common is poor oral hygiene.
When teeth are not brushed regularly, bacteria builds up on the surface. If not washed away, this bacteria creates a buildup of plaque under the gum line, ultimately resulting in gingivitis. Luckily, there are treatment options, all of which are inexpensive and can be done at home.

    Rinse with Warm Salt Water

  1. Mix a pinch of salt with warm water and rinse out your mouth with it twice a day to help increase blood circulation in the gums and reduce swelling.
  2. Mix Water and Peroxide

  3. Using this solution three times a week may help block bacteria from building up on the surface of teeth. Use a mixture of half hydrogen peroxide and half water and swish it around your mouth for 30 seconds. Be sure to spit the mixture out---do not swallow it.
  4. Massage Your Gums

  5. Place your index finger on the outside of the gums and thumb on the inside, then gently massage them, which will help increase blood circulation and may decrease swelling.
  6. Brush Your Gums

  7. Angle your toothbrush so half of it is on your gums and half is on your teeth, then move your brush gently in a circular motion. This helps clean the surface of your teeth while simultaneously removing the plaque from under the gum line.
  8. Use Baking Soda

  9. Make a paste out of baking soda and water and apply it to your gum line using your finger. Once applied, begin brushing your teeth. The baking soda neutralizes the bacteria under the gum line, helping prevent it from forming into plaque.

I am having this problem that's why I asked Mr. Google and he directed me to this wonderful and helpful site. I would really try this out..
