Expired

So these past few days I was do damn tired. I am sick and tired of my job. Really not because I hate it but I am really exhausted becoz we have a lot of patients everyday and felt like neverending and guess what my days with Dra Maryam are over. Becoz she'll have an exit. And she is complaining a lot to me that she is tired and yada..yada..yada... heck, she is the one who put herself on it and she's dragging me to hell like craziness with patients.. And I kid her, I told her that friday and that is today is her expiry date.. She just laugh. and true it's her last day here at work. I gave her my gift and gift for babies.. I guess she like it.. Me and my bf choose that gift to her. My bf bid her farewell via fone.. And I've heard what she said to him.. She said to my bf, "Promised me that you'll take care of Rowenah" I don't know but thats so sweet.. We all know that after her last days here in Riyadh we really can't tell if we'll see each other again. I will definitely miss her and her 3 crazy girls who always gives me kiss and hugs every night. They often tell me that they love me.

I will also miss her baby sitter Mama Halima who loves us same like mom.. Gives us food and ask me everytime we see each other how I am. She always had a smile on her face. I can't see any hardship on her. But I manage to give a smile back though daintly I hope she understand that I am busy. And give us some homemade food and pastries too.. She is indeed a great person. Though we hardly understand each other I know she has good intentions and a pure heart.. She taught us always good value and that is to save for the future. I give her a kiss and a hug.

Parting is sad it makes my eyes teary. It is a part of our life that we can't hold back. We just have to live and deal with it. Wherever life will take us I hope we enjoyed the ride. I will surely not forget the great people I met here.

My Journal

I'ts a rare occasion that I write about what's going on with my life these days. Not that I want the world to care, coz I know they don't I just want to write becoz I want to.. LOL! Oh geez, I really missed writing and totally missed blogging, it's been a while really.. quite a while now.... I guess I am busy with stuff or just don't feel like writing.. I have written many blogs and I am definitely a member of most blogsites here in the blogosphere and now I come to a point that I will fuse all my blogs into one before I will have a memory gap of my username and password bcoz they are so many. And I will focus on this blog.. I've decided to write everything here. This will be my official smorgasborg blog.

Well you see I had this thing of many little stuff somewhere here in the net that due to my memory gap it has been deleted.. It was so unfortunate of me not to be able to recover it. It was too late. I had many nursing reviewers there, some softwares, journals about nursing, poetry, and some story that for sure you'll be able to relate and makes you wonder and think about your life and how you lived it and others are living it. sort of like that.. It's so sayang"".. It's like a bundle of roses and buckets of chocolates that gone to the bin.. Gosh! Anyhow though it's lost I am rebuilding it again.. I will have something new for you guys. That's a promise..

Just stay put and continue reading. I hope you guys who stumble upon this blog may like something in here and pls do subscribe if you like..

btw, I really don't know how twitter, reddit, stumbleupon works.. If you have and idea pls let me know! Tnx!

how to have a good and lasting relationship

so let's face it keeping up with a relationship is really hard and as they say it takes 2 to tango..but the question is do we really know how? This is the surest way in keeping us in LOVE!

  • Listen to your beloved.
  • Try to show tolerance and be open-minded. Avoid showing sarcasm and negativity. In general, anything that can cause you a bad mood or her bad mood should be avoided.
  • You should learn to give as well as to take - to give or take is not the answer, only a combination of the two in equal measure.
  • Try to make your partner's parents like you. It is very important for both of you.
  • Learn to give unconditionally. To expect always something in return is the same as paying for something.
  • Avoid being too emotional in your everyday life. It can be especially applied to males. You will have to convince your beloved that you are strong; that you are self-confident; that you know what to do; and that she can rely on your emotional strength to be a help for her.
  • Kindness, understanding, trust and consideration are the keywords in relationships. If you are only trying to derive benefit from these relationships, forget about mutual understanding.
  • In every relationship it is important to be a good and reliable friend. If you are your beloved's understanding friend, she/he will be grateful and rewarding.
  • Don't let anyone treat you abusively. Demand respect.
  • If your relationships are established, you should carry on showing your beloved that you love and appreciate him/her. It is not difficult. You can do this by little things as buying flowers and small presents from time to time.
  • Beware of possessiveness and claiming behavior. Keep in mind that your partner is as independent as you are and should never be treated as an object or possession.
  • Don't let other people push your buttons. Otherwise you won't be able to make any decision by yourself.
  • Learn to adjourn your recompense through patience, trust and understanding.
  • Try to see your partner's point of view. Agree to disagree.
  • Respect your partner's space.

Plegm and phlegm and more phlegm

just a precuation guys.

It's flu season again, people: people are hacking and coughing everywhere we go. We all have a friend or coworker who's sick. So what do YOU do?
There's no cure for most of the bugs that are going around, so it's important to keep from catching 'em. Don't inhale other people's sneezes. Don't kiss folks who are ill. But most important, wash your hands frequently, especially before eating. Most people pick up germs with their hands, and then touch their mouth, nose, or eyes: instant infection. When you touch your face before washing your hands, it's like licking every doorknob you've touched since you last washed.

Yuch.

Many viral syndromes start with a sore throat or cold symptoms, often followed by a cough. It's not technically "flu," or influenza. True influenza is caused by influenza viruses. Certain drugs will make it less severe or may prevent your getting it. However, doctors see so many viral infections that aren't influenza that true influenza may be hard to spot.

Smokers have more trouble than non-smokers, since their lungs have lost their natural cleaning capabilities. Normal lungs are lined with tiny hair cells that sweep up the watery mucus layer inside your bronchial tree. This is how lungs clean out the dirt, air pollution, dust, and germs you breathe. One minute of cigarette smoke will paralyze your lungs for 24 hours: all the dirt, smoke, and grime in the air stays in.

What to do when you're definitely sick? The first thing is to beware overuse of cough and cold remedies! Most contain strong drying agents which make your nose drip less, by drying it out. Unfortunately, that dries your lungs out, too. You end up with dried phlegm plugging up your chest. This tickles and irritates your bronchial tubes, making you cough. It blocks off small sections of your lungs and your bronchial tubes get infected with bacteria. This is called bronchitis.

Once you've got a chest full of dried phlegm, how do you get it out? The key word here is "dry." Ever notice how a steamy shower makes you cough? That's because water vapor moistens and loosens the dried phlegm, which then starts to slide down the bronchial tubes. It tickles a new area and makes you cough. However, you want the phlegm to go up and out.

How do you get phlegm up? Easy: steam up your lungs. 5 or 10 minutes in a closed bathroom full of steam works fine. Then, lie face down on a bed or couch with your head, shoulders, and back hanging downward over the edge, and have somebody pound your back with cupped hands while you're breathing as deep as you can and coughing hard. Do the chest percussion twice a day if possible. This may help you get some phlegm up and out, which is where you want it. Chest percussion should last about 5 minutes. Have a cup nearby for the phlegm.

Always check the phlegm color. If it's clear, white, or pale, the infection may still be viral, and antibiotics may not be necessary. If it's yellow, green, brown, or bloody, or if you are having fevers, chills, chest pains, or have other health problems, you might need antibiotics. Contact your health care delivery person.

Very important: get plenty of fluids. If you're dry, the phlegm will be thicker and harder to get up. Drink enough so that when you urinate, it comes out clear. (Remember that B-vitamins will turn your urine darker). Don't use alcohol as a primary fluid source: it dries you out. Coffee and tea do the same thing, to a lesser extent, but the caffeine can help wheezing.

A humidifier is very helpful, especially with a heating system that dries out the air. Since you're often breathing through your mouth when sleeping with a stuffy nose, your lungs get even drier. Use the humidifier in your bedroom at night. If you're sensitive to molds, be careful: they grow better when it's damp. Turn the humidifier off during the day and air out the room.

Watch for high fevers not responsive to aspirin, ibuprofen, or acetominophen; shortness of breath; coughing up blood; or painful breathing. If you get any of those symptoms, get in touch with your health-care delivery person. Actually, "health-care delivery" isn't the right term anymore. How often do you get health care delivered to you? Not very often. You have to come get it!

Funny and free E-cards

Rattlebox
- Rattlebox is really very good. They have great designs, the interface is nicely designed and the themes themselves are actually decent. You can can change all or some of the text to customize the card, and embed video cards on social networking sites, blogs, etc.
Hipster cards - another witty, well designed e-card site that you would actually want to use. Please note there are some off color options so we're going to note it as - NSFW.
Someecards
- their tag line is "when you care enough to hit send." These cards are pen and ink and have funny one liners.
MushyGushy
- card site where you can upload you head shot into different animated themes (think JibJab) customize, and send.
Smilebox
- site where you choose from various multimedia designs and personalize with photos, video, music, words, and style and share via email, blog, or print.
delivr
- send a personalized postcard from photos from your Flickr account or select from the 3 million or so Dlivr offers using the Flickr API to pull back the most interesting photos with an appropriate creative commons license.
meish.org - for the anti-valentine crowd. If you hate satin bears and VD makes you want to hurl, these non-sentimental e-cards will fit the bill for you. Oh and are they funny.

I also love the cards from superlaugh.. I personally chose that one coz of its animation and songs.

That's the extent of our list but not for lack of trying. We specifically avoided the usual suspects, like American Greetings, and any site with animated gifs. If you have a favorite site you'd like to throw in the mix, please send it in.
